In this dynamic environment we are looking for Experienced Risk Analytics Professionals (Senior Associates and Associates) to join our Financial Services Risk & Regulation Consulting team in Athens.

 

Examples of tasks you will work on as part of the team:

As a Senior Associate/Associate you will be working on projects for leading Greek and international Banks and other financial institutions. In order to optimally support the client, you will predominantly work together with the client's experienced team members, on-site and online.

• Advise financial institutions with risk analytics and the development, deployment, and maintenance of models that are used for risk management, risk valuation, and financial/regulatory reporting purposes
• Advise on financial institutions’ risk data infrastructure, processes and systems to support reporting requirements and create the culture to become data-driven organisations
• Use a broad range of tools for risk modelling and data analysis and unveil insights to the client in line with the project’s goals
• Provide methodological advice to clients with respect to a wide range of risk data analytics and statistical modelling or machine learning initiatives
• Assist or advise the clients to respond to Regulatory and/or Reporting requirements
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations
• Formulate proposal development efforts for client engagement opportunities
• Be responsible for a work stream within the project working directly with client team members
• Delegate to and guide junior member towards the efficient and timely delivery of complicated assignments
• Act in an organised and proactive manner to resolve issues that may arise during the course of the project
• Collaborate with other PwC professionals to maximise value offered to our clients
• Lead internal and external team and client meetings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts
• Design approaches and solutions to important business problems
• Understand client needs and effectively communicate solutions
• Contribute to the business development of PwC in your area of expertise 

What we are looking for:

• At least two (2) years (for Experienced Associate) and four (4) years (for Senior Associate) relevant industry or functional work experience showing strong career progression and achievement
• Experience in consultancy will be highly regarded
• Practical experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
  • Risk management practices across major risk types e.g. Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Interest Rate Risk and Liquidity Risk, Climate Risks
  • Risk quantification methods for credit risk (e.g. PD, LGD and EAD) and other risk types
  • Regulatory reporting
  • The role of technology and data in effective risk management and the opportunities associated with new technological developments
• Sound understanding of data structures; excellent command of data transformations
• Advanced working knowledge of at least one quantitative analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, Python will be highly regarded
• Working knowledge of SQL will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of key regulatory trends and developments, as well as an understanding of the role of regulation in the Financial Services industry
• Bachelor and Masters’ degrees from top-tier universities in Banking, Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant discipline
• Excellent computer skills, a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A motivated and enthusiastic professional with curiosity and creativity
• A team oriented and positive attitude, focused on collaboration with colleagues and clients at all levels
• Client centric mind-set, commitment to provide excellent quality work and build long term client relationships
• Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner, in English & in Greek
• Military services fulfilled
