Project description

Join our team to work on a key component of our client’s infrastructure landscape—a high-impact internal pricing platform developed in Romania. Luxoft is collaborating on several critical areas, including Testing and Platform Services. This role is essential for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of functional and acceptance testing, with a strong focus on automation integrated within a DevOps pipeline.

Responsibilities

This role demands proficient experience with Java as a programming language for integrating application components and strong SQL knowledge for database query testing. ORQA and MXTest are key tools in this role, offering powerful solutions for application testing, system integration, and centralized test automation, especially in financial environments.

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

Test Automation Development: Identify key areas for automation within the existing test approach, focusing on enhancing testing efficiency and coverage.

Tool Selection & Implementation: Select and implement appropriate test automation tools used in most financial services companies such as Cucumber, ORQA or MXTest, tailored to the project’s needs.

DevOps Integration: Seamlessly integrate automated test scripts into the DevOps pipeline to enable continuous testing, ensuring that all code changes are rigorously tested in real-time.

Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to guarantee comprehensive test coverage and to address any automation-related challenges.

Documentation & Best Practices: Document the automation processes meticulously and provide guidance on best practices to ensure the team adheres to the highest standards.

Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing on low latency platforms, ensuring that the system can handle high calculation demands typical in financial services.

Skills

Must have

Software Testing Experience: 4-7 years of experience in software testing, particularly within financial services where high calculation requirements are critical. Technical( MUST HAVE

all 7 skills)

Java coding ( Java 8+) proficient hands on experience ( at least 5Y in roles with at least 80% automation testing/software development tasks)

Experience in using UNIX (PuTTY) at least 3Y experience

Competent SQL (or PL/SQL) hands on experience ( at least 4Y using key SQL queries on large Databases e.g. Oracle/MySQL/Sybase)

Experience in back end & databases test automation approaches including technologies such Cucumber/ Junit/TestNG

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

Proven experience working on Cloud Solutions ( preferably AWS) Business

Knowledge of capital markets and financial risk management (market and/or credit risk), clearing and margining concepts

Experience with Scrum and the use of Jira & writing test cases using Zephyr. Experience working with cross-functional technology teams to deliver projects using agile methodologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Experience in testing including test planning and execution of Functional, SIT, UAT and Regression tests Behavioral Skills
