Role Profile
Reporting under the LSE plc CIO organisation, the FX Programme Manager is responsible for mobilising and executing projects within the FX Technology Modernisation programme.
This workstream is a key deliverable within FX, charged with significantly reducing technical debt and increasing resilience across the FX Technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilise and managing projects within the FX Technology Modernisation programme, delivering on the following specific deliverables:
- Tableau Upgrade
- Gigaspace upgrade
- FXall in WS to Greenfield Azure
- Pricestream Outpost
- Viking Outpost
- Build, agree, socialise and manage detailed end-to-end plans for 2024-2026, capturing and documenting inter-dependencies between deliverables.
- Ensuring live service is not negatively impacted for the FX Business and Clients as changes to the FX infrastructure are rolled out.
- Mobilise appropriate governance (SteerCos / Working Groups) to ensure there is transparency and accountability across the stakeholder community.
- Define and report on progress and achievement of key milestones.
- Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and identify / address areas of concern.
- Manage issues and risks, escalating as appropriate to the FX Technology Modernisation SteerCo and FX Portfolio Board.
- Continually manage dependencies, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of key milestones.
- Represent projects at the FX Technology Modernisation SteerCo, providing the following updates:
- Report on progress made and plans for the next reporting period.
- RAG status
- Return to Green plans
- Key risks and issues
- Financial position
- Manage financials, i.e.:
- Create and maintain the 2024 / 2025 / 2026 forecasts
- Track actuals and adjust accordingly to ensure projects remain in budget
- Maintain Clarity, i.e.:
- Milestones
- Risks / Issues
- Status updates
- Cost plans
- Create and maintain project artefacts, ensuring compliance to LSEG’s Change Framework.
Key Skills
Essential
- Expert knowledge in rolling out datacentres in Singapore and London
- A strong product knowledge of FX
- Previous experience in the management of complex technical projects
- Experience of developing, implementing and delivering projects in highly matrixed and fast paced businesses
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project
- Excellent knowledge of Clarity
- Excellent at managing and influencing a wide network of stakeholders, including senior management up to CIO level
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial management, risk, and project management methodologies
- Excellent documentation skills; ability to create high quality steering committee materials
- More than 10 years of project experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Resilient – outcome and delivery focused with the ability to operate in a sophisticated environment
- Energetic & driven - a self-starter, with a can-do attitude, outcome focussed, and charge change with energy and drive that inspires others
Desirable
- Project Management qualifications, e.g. Prince2 / PMP / etc.
- Previous experience in delivering regulatory programmes
