Job Description

As a Graphics Programmer, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing rendering features and tools for the popular Game as a Service (GaaS) title, Dead by Daylight. You will work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to ensure a high-quality, immersive gaming experience across PC, console, and mobile platforms. You will also be involved in debugging, profiling, and optimizing rendering performance on all supported platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, modern graphics APIs, and C++. Experience with profiling tools on consoles and Unreal Engine is a plus.
Must have:
  • 3+ years experience in game graphics programming
  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles
  • Proficiency with modern graphics APIs (DirectX, Vulkan)
  • Experience with shading languages (HLSL)
  • Solid C++ 11/14 skills
  • Solution-oriented and collaborative
Good to have:
  • Experience with profiling tools on consoles
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5

We are seeking a talented Graphics Programmer to join the dynamic Dead by Daylight graphics team. As part of an evolving Game as a Service (GaaS) title on PC and console, Dead by Daylight offers unique challenges and creative opportunities in real-time rendering.

Working closely with a diverse group of professionals across programming, design, art, and animation, our graphics team tackles a broad range of rendering features and optimizations to deliver a high-quality, immersive gaming experience. In this role you will:

    • Collaborate with design, artists and other developers to implement and optimize rendering features as well as rendering pipeline tools such as game specific special effects, debug / profiling tools, integration or implementation of state-of-the-art rendering techniques on PC, XBOX Series X, XBOX One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. 
    • Monitor and improve rendering performance through profiling and optimization on all supported platforms. 
    • Fix bugs related to your area of work. Dead by Daylight is a live game as a service where features get added and others improved continuously. Bugs come in all shapes, forms, and priorities, from a simple fix, to a very hard to reproduce critical issue. 
    • Participate in technical design and code reviews. 

What we're looking for:

    • This is an intermediate role. You need to have at least 3 years of experience in the gaming industry with a focus on graphics programming.
    • You need to have a strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, including shading, lighting, texturing, and rendering techniques.
    • Good knowledge of modern graphics APIs like DirectX11/12, Vulkan and shading languages like HLSL.
    • Experience with modern C++ 11/14.
    • You need to be solution-oriented and possess a collaborative spirit.
    • Prior experience with profiling and profiling tools on console is a plus.
    • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 is a plus.
