Workato is seeking an Intern, Infrastructure Engineering to join a team focused on providing foundational tools, processes, environments, and programs to scale the Customer Success organization. This role involves managing over 150+ applications and procuring more. The intern will be responsible for acquiring and managing SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms for demos and PoCs, performing initial setup and configuration, administering applications, supporting users, and designing tools for the demo infrastructure. This includes setting up demo instances, collaborating with technical teams, administering applications, supporting users, and building demo environments.
Must have:
  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in application development and programming (Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Python are preferred).
  • Experience with databases.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies and solve problems.

Responsibilities

Workato is looking for an Intern, Infrastructure Engineering to join a team that will provide the foundational tools, processes, environments, and programs to scale our Customer Success organization. This team will enable our various Customer Success roles, such as our Pre-Sales Solutions Consultants, Post-sales automation Consultants, and Product Support Analysts, to accelerate the time to deliver their goals and supercharge Workato’s growth.

Workato is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help us manage over 150+ applications and procure many more. This role is critical in supporting all our technical teams (Products, Presales, Postsales, Customer Support, and many more) in leveraging these apps to build and maintain new connectors, solutions, support customers, troubleshoot connector issues, and create impactful and meaningful demos and POCs. This role will procure app instances and perform initial setup and configuration. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to manage and support our demo environment effectively.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Acquire and manage SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms, applications, and technologies for demos and PoCs like Salesforce, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, SnowFlake, AWS, GCP, etc. This includes

    • Perform the initial setup and configuration of demo instances, ensuring they meet user requirements.

    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of demo applications

  • Application Administration:

    • Administer demo applications by adding users, configuring permissions, and assigning licenses.

    • Perform complex configurations to ensure applications work properly and align with organizational intentions.

    • Regularly review and update application settings to maintain optimal performance and security.

  • Support users in accessing demo environments and demo applications and help troubleshoot issues related to using those applications. This includes

    • Act as the primary point of contact for user requirements and support related to demo instances.

    • Provide timely and practical support to users, addressing any issues or concerns.

  • Design and build tools to help this team manage effectively the demo infrastructure

  • Build and maintain environments for running high-quality Workato product demonstrations.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information systems or equivalent

  • Application development and programming experience (Ruby, JavaScript/Front End UI frameworks, Java, Python are preferred)

  • Experience with databases

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies and solve problems

  • A passion for technology and translating that passion into business impact for customers

  • Fast mover and comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment

  • Resourceful in execution and results-oriented

  • Should be a thoughtful team player, a quick learner, and have a “can-do” attitude with a growth mindset.

  • Open to learning every day and has a strong sense of humility. 

  • Able to commit on a full-time basis for at least 6 months
