Job Summary:

We are looking for a Kubernetes Expert to manage multiple applications on Kubernetes Clusters for a 4 Billion dollar health-tech company.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrated subject matter expertise in Kubernetes cluster management. Must be a Kubernetes Expert with a minimum of 3-7 years of hands-on experience in managing large-scale applications and expertise in various deployment strategies (rolling updates, blue-green deployment, and canary deployment).

Kubernetes Expert job responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across diverse projects.
  
• Troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades and implement monitoring solutions.
  
• Efficiently manage Kubernetes clusters using Terraform for automation.
  
• Participate in on-call rotation, addressing 503 and 504 errors promptly.
  
• Implement preventive measures and optimize clusters for enhanced stability.
  
• Analyze load balancer logs, specifically addressing 503 anomalies.
  
• Implement and optimize Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) for dynamic pod adjustments.
  
• Collaborate with teams to enforce security best practices and ensure compliance.
  
• Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures and incident response plans.
  
• Manage pipelines efficiently across diverse projects.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an SRE with a focus on Kubernetes cluster management.
  
• Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, upgrades, and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters.
  
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation and pipeline management.
  
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible).
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
  
• Strong networking knowledge relevant to container orchestration.
  

• Kubernetes certification (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA).
  
• Experience with alternative container orchestration tools (Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos).
  
• Understanding of microservices architecture and related technologies.
  
• Previous experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
