Job Description

Java Internship in Kyiv, Ukraine. The role involves developing new applications and features for existing products within a leading Swiss FinTech company. Responsibilities include implementation, unit/integration testing, code review, and participation in Scrum events. The ideal candidate possesses solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures), Java core and OOP knowledge, basic SQL skills, and intermediate English communication skills.

Must have:

Solid knowledge of CS fundamentals
Java core & OOP
Basic SQL knowledge
Intermediate English
Development of new applications
Implementation of new features
Unit/integration testing
Code review
Scrum participation

Good to have:

Bachelor's/Master's in CS/CE
Unit testing experience
Ukrainian proficiency

Project description

Our client is not a usual Swiss bank. It's a leading provider of online financial and trading services in the FinTech industry. Responsibilities

Development of new applications

Implementation of new features for existing products

Developing unit/integration tests

Code review

Participation in Scrum events with the client

Skills

Must have

Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, computational complexity)

Java core

OOP knowledge

Basic knowledge of SQL (key concepts, joins, aggregation)

Intermediate spoken English and solid communication skills overall

Nice to have

Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering

Unit testing
