Job Description
Paytm is a leading Indian financial services company aiming to bring half a billion Indians into the mainstream economy. The EDC Retail team focuses on helping merchants grow through simplicity and data-driven technology. The role involves increasing sales of devices to merchants in a specified area, requiring physical market visits to identify and sell to quality merchants. The incumbent will also be responsible for minimizing fraud and chargeback risks by ensuring good merchant onboarding, adhering to risk guidelines, and resolving high-risk issues. Additionally, the role involves seeking merchant references, collaborating with internal business and technology teams to identify bottlenecks, and acting as a brand ambassador for Paytm.
Must have:
- Increase sales of devices amongst merchants.
- Physical movement into micro markets.
- Identify and sell to good quality merchants.
- Minimize risks of fraud and chargebacks.
- Good quality of merchant onboarding.
- Adhere to risk guidelines.
- Resolve high-risk issues.
- Seek references from converted clients.
- Engage with Business & Technology Teams.
- Identify common bottlenecks.
- Be a brand ambassador for Paytm.

- Cold calling, pre-sales and lead generation.

Expectations/ Requirements:
● The incumbent will be expected to increase sales of our devices amongst merchants in a specified area.
● The role will require physical movement into micro markets, identifying and selling to good quality merchants.
● Minimize risks of fraud, chargebacks by ensuring good quality of merchant onboarding
● Adhere to the risk guidelines shared by the team. Visit merchant and resolve issues highlighted as high risk.
● Seek references of other good merchants from the converted clients
● Engage with various Business & Technology Teams within Paytm to identify common bottlenecks esp. on Technology front.
● Be a brand ambassador for Paytm – Stay Hungry, Stay Humble, Stay Relevant!

Education:
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or above.
