Job Description

Gaijin is looking for a Middle C++ Game Developer (gameplay) to join their team. The responsibilities include developing and supporting existing functionality in languages like C++, daScript, and Squirrel, code optimization, and code review. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of general programming experience and knowledge of C and C++. They should also possess experience in developing network code in multiplayer games, knowledge of linear algebra, experience in the gaming industry, and the ability to work in a team. The company offers non-trivial tasks using innovative technologies, an international team of experienced developers, and a remote work format with a flexible start to the working day, along with private health insurance.
Must have:
  • General programming experience from 2 years.
  • Knowledge of C and C++.
  • Experience in developing network code in multiplayer games.
  • Knowledge of linear algebra (vectors, matrices).
  • Experience in gaming industry and desire to make games.
  • Systemic thinking and a high degree of self-organization.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team.
Good to have:
  • Experience with SCRUM methodology, using YouTrack or Jira.
  • Experience applying Data-oriented Design to game systems, experience with Entity Component Systems.
  • Experience with XBox One, XBox Series X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and other consoles.
