Project description

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation.
In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the bank's operational processes and inspire and delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Murex-related Responsibility:

1) Handling Murex production batch processing includes Date rolls for Various desks and entities, accounting, and reporting batches.

2) Configuring the Datamart Batches and debugging the issues with it.

3) Configuring the processing script for various modules and debugging the issues related to it.

4) Performing or monitoring daily/monthly housekeeping jobs related to Accounting, Market data, etc.

5) Providing support for overnight batch processing.

6) Developing or configuring the processing script, report, or batch of feeders if required as part of Batch Support.

7) Configuration management & Release management.

O/S-related responsibility:

1) Understanding and debugging various shell scripts and Perl scripts on production, QA, and development servers.

2) providing support for various issues on production servers like memory issues, slowness, and file system-related issues.

3) Designing and developing the shell scripts if required.

4) Handling file processing, process control, monitoring, etc for Murex.

5) Handling the Murex environment-related issue associated with O/S.

D/B-related responsibility:

1) Provide support for various database activities, like DB backups. Database refresh includes Oracle Import/Export (Sybase Dump/Load).

2) providing support for Database maintenance, indexing, housekeeping, etc.

3) Debugging the database performance issue for various batches and jobs.

4) providing support for debugging Stored procedures and various murex issues related to the database.

5) Develop stored procedures, views, etc if required.

Skills

Must have

4-8 years of experience in Murex system in the Front office and risk modules of the Mx 3.1 platform

Proven experience working on scalable, resilient transaction processing systems in the Financial markets

A strong analytical and logical approach to problem-solving and system development

Very strong exposure to all the asset class

Strong exposure to trade lifecycle across front office, back office, and middle office tiers

Detailed knowledge of Murex Front office and risk modules.

Responsible for doing Requirement Analysis in Front Office space for various asset classes

Responsible for doing an initial analysis of existing production data and existing test cases suite

Ability to analyze and understand product requirements and offer solutions and support to facilitate the rollouts

Work closely with the Front Office business to design and build pricing and booking capabilities in the Murex system

Participate with internal business partners on cross-functional projects to provide STP solutions for pricing, distribution, and execution capabilities

Be responsible for understanding the business needs, identifying business solutions, and validating the pros and cons of technical solution options
