Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Data Engineers .
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsible for managing the end-to-end software development for project delivery and change request for a Digital Banking squad. This could be for projects, quarterly change requests, and L3 production fixes and includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support
Responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools
Partner closely with the Digital Banking leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
Supporting development team on release pipeline jobs and tools configuration
Troubleshooting deployment issues
Identifying ways to improve deployment tools and processes
Coordinate with developers and tech leads for deployments/releases '
Ensuring proper access control and governance for deployment
Write stored procedures and perform troubleshooting / first level of investigation for third party vendor product
To participate in global and cross-site projects and implementations
Must have

5 years experience in SQL, Oracle (stored procedures)
Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database management.
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Banking domain experience is preferred but not required
Good to Have: Java, JSP, Spring, XML, SQL, Unix Scripting, AEM Forms/Sites, TeamSite, Web Content Management (WCM), CSS, HTML
Good to Have: Devops, Agile practices, and Management reporting knowledge/experience
Good to Have: Knowledge about MariaDB, IIS (windows app server), and Hadoop , CI/CD for mobile build deployment, DevOps, Agile practices.
