Job Responsibilities :

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security measures to protect the organization’s systems, networks, and data. This role involves leading security strategies, performing risk assessments, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity laws and regulations. In addition, the Senior Cybersecurity Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, integrates security into the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps), and provides leadership in maintaining a secure IT environment. Strong expertise in security tools, threat detection, and incident management is essential, along with experience in cloud security and secure software development practices.

  • Security Strategy & Leadership:

    • Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity strategies in line with the organization’s goals.
    • Lead and mentor junior cybersecurity team members, providing technical guidance and expertise.
    • Conduct security assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Threat Detection & Incident Response:

    • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and investigate violations.
    • Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation plans.
    • Maintain and enhance the organization's incident response plan.
  • Network & Systems Security:

    • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information through the design and implementation of secure infrastructure.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
    • Implement firewalls, encryption protocols, and other security measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity laws and standards (such as PDPA, MCMC, RMIT, PCI-DSS, BOT, etc.).
    • Manage audits and regulatory reviews, including preparing necessary documentation.
    • Assess and mitigate risks related to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Security Tools & Systems:

    • Manage and maintain security solutions like firewalls, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, endpoint protection, and encryption solutions.
    • Evaluate and recommend security products and services based on industry trends.
  • Training & Awareness:

    • Develop and conduct cybersecurity awareness programs for employees.
    • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies and educate internal teams.
  • DevSecOps Integration:

    • Evaluate and recommend security products and services based on industry trends.
    • Integrate security testing tools (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning) into development workflows.
    • Ensure the security of containers, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
    • Assist in the selection, deployment, and management of DevOps security tools and platforms.

    Pre-Requisites :

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
    • Experience in incident response, risk management, and vulnerability management.
    • Familiarity with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
    • Proficiency in conducting threat modeling and risk assessments.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Leadership skills to manage a team and cross-functional projects.
