ABOUT THE ROLE
The Payments Product Team Leader is responsible for leading the Payments Product Specialists Team as well as the processes of ensuring the quality and functionality of all PSP integrations within the Payments portfolio. In this capacity, the Payments Product Team Leader is responsible for the operational payments performance across all markets and all brands, including all PSPs.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
● Manage the assignment of tasks for the team according to priorities and capacity.
● Provide hands-on leadership and direction to a team of Payments Product professionals.
● Coaching Payments Product team members in their day-to-day tasks.
● Provide support to the team through mediation aimed at conflict resolution.
● Provide informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.
● Coaching Payments Product team members in achieving goals and developing necessary skills.
● Organise team trainings and initiatives.
● Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
● Manage the staffing through the appropriate hiring, dismissals, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.
● Being the first point of contact for all technical issues.
● Support the Payments engineering team in their daily tasks.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● 3+ years’ experience in technical product payments development.
● Experience in leading teams in a product or technical service support context.
● Advanced experience in using payment aggregators including back office tools of various payment vendors to conduct analysis and troubleshooting.
● Strong analytical (data oriented) and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
● Advanced experience in interpreting data on payments performance and customer experience analysis.
● An expert-level understanding of the payments ecosystem, including merchant needs, gateways, acquirers, card schemes, payments operations, APIs and reporting portals, is preferred.
● Excellent communication skills and English language skills (both orally and in writing).
