Job Description

As a Principal Architect, you will lead cross-functional teams to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. You will embody executive-level qualities, facilitate conversations, and direct Sales team execution, combining technical goals and business insight. You'll partner with Value Engineering to articulate the total value of solutions. Responsibilities include building trusted advisory relationships with strategic accounts, providing domain expertise, making recommendations on integration strategies, managing the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers, and traveling to customer sites and conferences.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
  • 10+ years enterprise architect experience in cloud computing
  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Build trusted customer relationships
  • Provide domain expertise and promote Google Cloud
Good to have:
  • Structured enterprise architecture practices
  • Hybrid cloud deployments and migration experience
  • Enterprise technology buying and evaluation experience
  • Experience with large-scale computing solutions
  • Building highly distributed global cloud systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in, or supporting, the telecommunications industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
  • Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process paired with a understanding of large scale computing solutions.
  • Experience in building, architecting, designing and implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.
  • Ability to drive and influence audiences and identify expansion engagements within accounts.

You will partner heavily with Value Engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, C-level, and identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
  • Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution while providing best practices to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
  • Manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, technical teams, and more.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
