Job Description

The Procurement Operations Analyst will support daily operations, sourcing, and purchasing for iManage. Key responsibilities include training the business on procurement best practices, assisting in the enhancement of procurement policies and processes, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating vendor commitments, analyzing and tracking spend and savings, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The analyst will collaborate with various business units, contribute to process efficiencies, and negotiate contracts with new and existing vendors. The role also involves data analysis, contract evaluation, and providing subject matter expertise on procurement-related issues.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement/contracting experience.
  • Knowledge within purchasing/contracting functions.
  • Ability to interpret and negotiate contracts.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP/financial systems.

Being a Procurement Operations Analyst at iManage Means…

You will support everyday operations, sourcing, and buying opportunities for iManage. You will play a key role in training and guiding the business on procurement best practices while assisting in enhancements of the Procurement Policy and Processes. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate vendor commitments, analyze, track, and validate spend & savings, and ensure compliance with iManage Policy & procurement standards.

You’ll be responsible for collaborating with various business units, including Legal, Finance, and IT, and you will contribute to quality improvements and process efficiencies across the organization.

iM Responsible For…
  • Supporting the Head of Procurement with the development, negotiation, and purchasing of high-impact sourcing projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall priorities and objectives
  • Assisting business units in negotiating financial terms and conditions, certifying that they are as favorable to iManage’s business interests as possible, while minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Using data analytics, industry benchmarking, and strategic sourcing methodologies to develop and execute sourcing strategies, business strategies, and change management programs
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to negotiate contracts with new and existing vendors, including renewing vendor relationships to maximize value creation for iManage (optimizing spend, in addition to generating more value with existing contracts)
  • Assessing, evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting contract or agreement terms and conditions as well as recommending alternatives in resolving any supplier risk compliance or performance issues as necessary and in coordination with our legal team
  • Exercising good judgment in selecting the best contracting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Working daily in systems like Coupa/Ironclad/BetterCloud to transact business with suppliers
  • Analyzing and improving procurement processes to identify opportunities for creating improvements that enhance internal efficiencies and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply chain needs and maintaining a positive relations both internal and external
  • Providing subject matter expertise, advice, recommendations, training, and guidance to staff and management on procurement-related issues, policies, procedures, and systems
  • Taking ownership of the procurement process and supporting various procurement functions such as strategic sourcing, subcontracting, vendor file management, and assisting staff in drafting of RFPs, specifications, terms of reference, and evaluation criteria
  • Establishing and maintaining positive, strong, ongoing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

iM Qualified Because I Have…
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years progressive, demonstrated professional procurement/contracting experience; preferably with a SaaS or Indirect Procurement background.
  • Knowledge and experience within purchasing/contracting functions
  • The ability to accurately read, interpret, develop, and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills to run both standardized and customized reports, ability to analyze large data sets, and provide insights for process improvements
  • A passion for data
  • A skilled background in the development and use of ERP/financial or other spend management systems such as Coupa,
  • Working knowledge of strategic sourcing concepts and methodologies
