Job Description
Nielsen is seeking a QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in software test development. Responsibilities include developing test automation, working with Java microservices deployed on AWS, and interacting with SQL and NoSQL databases. The role requires proficiency in web technologies (AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript), strong debugging skills, and experience in Agile environments (Scrum) and CI/CD. Experience with embedded systems testing and embedded web page user interfaces for device setup is also essential. The candidate must possess excellent communication and documentation skills and the ability to manage test results in an auditable manner. Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium is a plus.
Must have:

- SQL & NoSQL experience
- Web tech experience (AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Test automation development
- Agile (Scrum) experience
- CI/CD understanding

Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on test software development with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- AWS Cloud deployed Java microservices experience.
- Familiarity with Java software development
- SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL Programming experience
- Work with web technology including AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript.
- Experience test automation development.
- Strong testing and debugging abilities, functional, analytical and technical abilities, ability to find bugs, attention to detail, troubleshooting
- Resourceful, self-starter, and a team-player
- Experience working in an Agile environment (scrum)
- Solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment environments
- Effective communication and documentation skills are a must
- Experience in embedded systems testing
- Experience in embedded web page user interfaces for device setup
- Ability to document test cases and manage test results in an auditable manner
- Prior experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium a plus
