The Regional Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of sales within the Fast-Moving Consumer Health (FMCH) sector. This position demands a strategic approach to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between various operational functions. The individual must possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage teams, drive performance, and achieve sales targets within the designated region.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability within the FMCH sector.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and formulate effective strategies.
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations within the region, ensuring adherence to sales protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor sales teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and foster a culture of high performance.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to drive individual and team productivity, motivation, and professional development.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and healthcare professionals, to facilitate business growth and market penetration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to coordinate activities and achieve collective goals.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct regular performance evaluations and assessments to evaluate sales performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement initiatives.
Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate key insights, achievements, and challenges to senior management.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and ethical practices to mitigate risks and safeguard organizational reputation.
Implement robust measures for fraud prevention, inventory management, and operational security within the region.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the FMCH, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer segmentation within the FMCH sector.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence teams.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and Salesflo to drive informed decision-making.
Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute operational plans to achieve business objectives.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and best practices in sales operations management.
