As a Customer Business Manager, you will be pivotal in driving the commercial success. You will manage key customer accounts across Independent Grocery and Alternate Channels by developing business strategies. You will develop and execute strategic business plans, manage relationships with key accounts, analyze market trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams, act as a trusted advisor, and monitor sales performance. Drive negotiations and agreements that optimize mutual business value.

As a Customer Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our organisation, managing key customer accounts across Independent Grocery and Alternate Channels by developing business strategies. This is a position for a visionary leader who can balance operational, analytical, and interpersonal skills to achieve our shared goals.

Your day to day:

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that align with organisational objectives and customer needs.
  • Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring consistent communication and long-term partnership growth.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and supply chain, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering insights and solutions tailored to their business challenges.
  • Monitor sales performance and generate reports to highlight successes and areas of improvement.
  • Drive negotiations and agreements that optimise mutual business value.

You are:

  • Commercially savvy, with experience in commercial positions- sales, category, business management
  • Can demonstrate exceptional leadership by guiding and coaching direct reports to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous growth and collaboration
  • Proven experience in strategic business planning, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, with a forward-thinking approach to technology and innovation
