Job Description

As a Risk and Fraud Specialist, you will report directly to the Head of Customer Experience and work closely with the Director of Operations. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating risks related to fraud, abuse, and financial activities within iGaming operations. This includes performing risk assessments on player accounts, gameplay, deposits, and withdrawals to detect fraudulent behavior. You will also be involved in improving fraud processes, reducing chargebacks, and handling customer documentation and KYC processes. Additionally, you will support and train the Operations Team, suggest areas for improvement, create and maintain documentation, and provide business analysis for fraud prevention strategy. Monitoring and reporting on overall fraud performance is also part of the role. This position is office-based in Malta with a hybrid option and requires frequent travel to Bitola, North Macedonia.

Job Details

As Risk and Fraud Specialist, you will be reporting directly to our Head of Customer Experience and working closely with our Director of Operations. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating risks related to fraud, abuse and financial activities within our iGaming operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of our platform, protecting both the company and its customers from potential financial and reputational damage. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fraud prevention and risk management, particularly in the iGaming sector.  You will be playing a crucial role in maintaining and fostering a positive and highly productive work environment for our operations team.

What your role will look like:

  • Perform various risk assessments, including carrying out reviews on player accounts, gameplay, deposits and withdrawals to detect fraud, abuse and problematic gambling behaviour
  • Help improving fraud processes and fraud reporting
  • Reduce chargebacks, fraud and bonus abuse
  • Dealing with customer documentation and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Operations team and with people of all levels of business and develop strong working relationships with internal and 3rd party service providers.
  • Support and train the Operations Team agents with a special focus on fraudulent and bonus abuse activity

  • Monitoring and reporting on overall fraud performance of the company

Note:  The role is office-based in Malta with a hybrid option and requires frequent travel, at least once per quarter, to our office in Bitola, North Macedonia to oversee the team, conduct on-site meetings, and ensure smooth team operations.
