Job Description

As a Scaled Customer Engineer, SMB, Google Cloud (German/French) you will work with leading companies choosing Google Cloud to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You will assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for customers, liaise with product marketing and engineering teams, and understand customer needs. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, sharing enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise, working directly with Google Cloud products, guiding customers through assessments, and recommending integration strategies. You'll need strong cloud native architecture experience, fluency in German or French, and experience delivering technical presentations.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1 year cloud native architecture experience
Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering
Fluent in German or French
Technical presentation skills

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
GCP Certification
Experience with WAN/internet technologies
Experience architecting scalable systems
Experience with databases and Big Data technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience delivering technical presentations.
Ability to communicate in German, French, or a Central European language fluently in order to interact with customers.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect/Associate Customer Engineer).
Experience with WAN/internet-related technologies and architectures across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud productivity suites.
Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems, and with application development technologies.
Experience in data and information management.
Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases, or Big Data technologies and containers.

Responsibilities

Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
