GCP Cloud Engineer II - IN
Job Summary
Job Description
This role involves monitoring and maintaining GCP infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Responsibilities include workload optimization, mentoring junior engineers, developing technical training, collaborating with stakeholders (account managers, business development consultants, and other engineers), and providing technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess proficient knowledge of GCP products, programming languages (Python, etc.), Git, Linux administration, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD tools, and configuration management systems (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.). Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed systems is crucial, along with understanding various services and protocols in hosting environments (web servers, databases, caching). A strong understanding of network technologies and excellent communication skills are required.

- CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Linux administration

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and provide maintenance for all related infrastructure.
· Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment for the enterprise Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks.
· Mentor and assist Rackers across the Cloud Function.
· Quality check development of technical training for all Rackers supporting Rackspace Supported CLOUD Products.
· Provide technical expertise underpinning communications targeting a range of stakeholders - from individual contributors to leaders across the business.
· Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants to build strong customer relationships.
· Collaborate and share knowledge with other Engineers and Administrators on the support floor.
Technical Expertise
· Proficient knowledge of Cloud Platform Products such as GCP.
· Proficient skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Linux, Shell scripting.
· Proficient skills with git and git workflows.
· Good with Linux administration.
Highly skilled in Terraform/IaC .
· Proficient skills in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
· Knowledge of designing, building, implementing, analysing, and troubleshooting distributed, highly available systems.
· Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or any other such tools.
· Understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments, including web servers, databases, caching, and database services.
· Knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.
· Requires conceptual knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.

· Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work under pressure.

· Ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences.
Education
Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 4 years' experience with Cloud Computing.
Certifications
Requires Associate level Certificates in GCP.
Experience
4-6 Experience on Google Cloud & Devops tools.
Physical Demands
· May require work on non-traditional shifts. Should be able to work in 24*7 environments.
· A willingness to work weekends and/or holidays when required as the business dictates.
