We are looking for a strategic remote Senior Manager of Learning and Experience Design to lead our dynamic team in developing high-impact, personalized learning journeys that support our “Ready to Train” motion. This role, reporting to the Director of Learning and Design, requires a leader with experience designing and managing large-scale learning programs, establishing scalable processes, and driving excellence in inclusive content development, governance, and quality assurance. You will work cross-functionally to shape our learning and development strategy, with a focus on delivering exceptional learning experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Learning Design - Lead the vision and strategic direction for designing and implementing innovative, personalized learning journeys that meet diverse learner needs.
  2. Team Leadership and Development - Manage, mentor, and inspire a large team of learning experience designers, developers, and content specialists. Manage capacity planning for the team.
  3. Operational Excellence and Building “Learning at Scale” - Develop and implement scalable processes for learning content creation, governance, and quality assurance. Use data-driven insights to enhance processes, improve workflows, and increase efficiencies. Oversee the design and delivery of learning experiences that can scale across diverse audiences and regions.
  4. Accessibility and Regionalization - Ensure that all learning experiences are designed with accessibility and inclusivity at the forefront, following accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and considering diverse learner needs. Lead initiatives to regionalize and localize content, tailoring learning experiences to resonate across cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  5. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement - Develop and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure content is consistently high-quality and relevant. Use data-driven insights to continually enhance processes, streamline workflows, and increase efficiencies.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a related field.
  • 8+ years experience in learning design; Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role managing large teams.
  • Experience designing and delivering personalized learning journeys, using technology and data to enhance learning at scale.
  • Project management skills, with experience establishing and managing scalable processes for content development, governance, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with enterprise-level content and learning management systems (LMS), including implementation, optimization, and analytics.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$147,000$210,000 USD
