The responsibilities include collaborating with talent across the industry—both established and emerging—to bring previously untold stories to Prime Video. The goal is to captivate and engage viewers with innovative, authentic, and diverse content that stands out from the offerings on other OTT platforms. The role also involves thinking creatively and staying abreast of the latest trends and opportunities in the industry. Building strong, collaborative relationships and fostering trust with creative partners is crucial in making Prime Video a preferred home for talent. Additionally, providing invaluable feedback and insights on stories and scripts is key to elevating characters and narratives, ensuring each story reaches its fullest potential.

A day in the life

  • Reading and drafting valuable feedback on screenplays, bibles, and dialogue drafts for episodes across multiple shows. The scripts will span different genres and worlds, requiring you to work on multiple shows simultaneously as an executive.
  • Meeting with creators and writers to discuss feedback and being able to present your points constructively.
  • Understanding the creator’s vision and our creative strategy, while finding a balance between the two when views may be opposed.
  • Managing talent and their expectations alongside the needs of the company.
  • Collaborating with business affairs to ensure negotiations and contracts proceed smoothly.
  • Working with production to understand the creative aspects and finalize budgets.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on network cuts of the series in post-production to ensure each episode tells a crisp and engaging story.
