This role requires expertise in Kafka-based data ingestion streams and ETL tools like Talend. The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, establishing data mapping standards, and ensuring efficient data delivery pipelines. Key responsibilities include architecting and optimizing Snowflake data models, managing data ingestion pipelines with Kafka, leading Talend ETL implementations, defining data mapping and transformation rules, collaborating with stakeholders, guiding junior team members, and ensuring data quality and compliance.
Must have:
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Strong Snowflake focus
- Deep understanding of Kafka
- Hands-on experience with Talend or similar ETL tools
- Strong SQL skills

Job Title: Snowflake Migration Lead
Lead Data Engineer will lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable data solutions using Snowflake. This role will involve working closely with Kafka-based data ingestion streams and ETL tools like Talend. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers, oversee data mapping standards, and ensure efficient data delivery pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and optimize Snowflake data models for performance and scalability.
• Design and manage data ingestion pipelines leveraging Kafka.
• Lead the implementation and troubleshooting of Talend ETL jobs and workflows.
• Define and enforce data mapping standards, transformations, and validation rules.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in technical delivery, code reviews, and best practices.
• Ensure data quality, documentation, and compliance with internal governance standards.
Key Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of Kafka for event-driven architecture and streaming ingestion.
• Hands-on experience with Talend or similar ETL tools.
• Strong SQL skills for data transformation, performance tuning, and analytics.
