Job Description

Google's Pixel Intelligence team seeks a Software Engineer to build and test innovative ideas, collaborating with UX designers and product managers throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include iterating on novel features, ideating new user interaction paradigms, and exploring ways to connect real-world signals, app data, APIs, and contexts to create meaningful user experiences. This role requires experience in software development (Kotlin/Java), data structures and algorithms, and building developer tools (compilers, automated releases, testing frameworks). The ideal candidate will be versatile, display leadership, and embrace tackling new full-stack challenges.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1 year software development (Kotlin/Java)
1 year experience with data structures/algorithms
1 year experience building developer tools
Build and test novel ideas
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in Computer Science
Android background

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Java).
1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Android background.

Responsibilities

Build and test novel ideas and iterate.
Work with a multidisciplinary team of UXers and PMs through the entire lifecycle of our products and features.
Put creativity to test by ideating new user interaction paradigms and testing them out.
Explore how to connect real world signals, app data, APIs, and contexts to meaningful user experiences.
