The role involves collaborating with business leaders, implementing accounting policies, and improving financial systems. Strong leadership, financial modeling expertise, and experience with US GAAP are essential. The position requires in-office presence at least 4 days a week.

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Accounting Manager to join our financial leadership team in New York.

This role will perform varied accounting and financial planning & analysis activities of a complex nature and will provide leadership to their finance team members and business partners as well as help set a tone of strong internal controls, timeliness, and accuracy in financial reporting.  This individual will be instrumental in guiding financial strategy, ensuring compliance with public company reporting requirements, including identifying opportunities that promote standardization, efficiency and making recommendations for overall team performance improvement, to better serve the businesses and senior management. The individual should demonstrate empathy, flexibility and agility in adapting to changing circumstances and priorities, as required.

This role will report to the Director of Finance. This position requires in-office presence at least 4 days per week, with 1 flexible remote day.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the P&L and Balance Sheet with the ability to create, build, grow, and scale budget models, Budget v Actuals analysis, and commentary
  • Support management of an $125m Opex and $15m Capex budget for Tech, Staffing, T&E and Overheads
  • Manage and oversee the operations of the general ledger profit centers including all transactional activity and month-end reporting
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, often preparing and reviewing general ledger journal entries and adjustments
  • Partner with Technical Accounting and Controllership to develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship and direction
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Oversee financial systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate potential business outcomes
  • Prepare detailed forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses with actionable insights
  • Monitor and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, reporting packs, and other various reporting requirements, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure accuracy
  • Support internal and external audit of financial processes and statements
  • Lead financial planning process through strong partnership with business and operation teams, establishing and tracking against various KPIs and growth metrics
  • Responsible for the overall work product of all direct reports while also providing timely feedback on their performances in addition to career mentorship
  • Special projects as assigned (e.g., assisting with the implementation of the Company’s global ERP system [SAP/NetSuite], integration of newly acquired businesses, ad hoc analysis, other financial system upgrades, etc.)
  • Other ad-hoc corporate responsibilities (i.e., modeling, planning, etc.)
  • Ensure that internal controls and SOX compliance requirements are met throughout the record-to-report accounting process.
  • Assist with external audits, providing documentation and resolving any issues raised by auditors.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required for senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA preferred
  • 3-5 year(s) of progressive accounting experience
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including:
    • Developing integrated three-statement models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
    • Building KPI dashboards and executive reporting tools
    • Proficiency in scenario analysis and sensitivity testing methodologies
    • Experience with rolling forecasts and driver-based planning
  • Advanced-level Excel skills including complex formulas and data visualization
  • Proven experience in team management and mentorship, with the ability to develop, motivate, and guide high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical skills, technical or operational accounting background and research skills (US GAAP)
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and the ability to proactively work in teams with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and balance work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with high level of responsibility and ownership
  • Proficiency in SAP, NetSuite, BPC, Financial Statements and reports preferred
  • A strong curiosity towards financial modeling

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on business needs

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.  Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.


Hiring Range Minimum:

$97,500 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:

$130,000 annually
