Technical Designer (World of Tanks)

Job Overview

Respect for history is Wargaming's credo. Our games give the military vehicles of the past a new life. Any vehicle is born on a drawing board, and the World of Tanks game models are no exception. That's why, besides knowledge of the history of vehicles, we need a Technical Designer—a specialist who can develop actual 3D models and blueprints of military vehicles based on their designs and sketches.

The process of creating models directly depends on the quality of the blueprints, so professional historical expertise is especially important. The combination of design experience and proper historical knowledge is a guarantee of success in our work.

Reports to

Head of Military Design and Research

What will you do?

• Create 3D models and blueprints of military vehicles in SolidWorks using available materials

• Check models of military vehicles for historical and technical compliance

What are we looking for?

• Technical education (secondary or higher): Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer

• Experience in engineering/design bureaus

• Knowledge of the design of tracked and wheeled vehicles

• In-depth knowledge of construction methods for all types of parts (casting, stamping, canvas/fabric parts) and their assemblies

• Experience in computer-aided design (CAD)

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Knowledge of the history of armored vehicles during World War II and the post-war period
• Passion for scale modeling
• Knowledge of English and Russian languages.
