Job Summary:

The UI/UX Designer creates excellent end-user interactions and overall experience for those users navigating our data-dense web-based applications and websites. The UI/UX Designer seeks to improve the user experience by suggesting interactions that are simple, useful, scalable, accessible, and visually compelling. They collaborate with teams and individuals across a wide variety of departments as needed: Development Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external clients.

Responsibilities:

Exhibit extensive knowledge of user needs in Clearwater’s industry.

Shape the future of our products’ user interfaces and customer experience.

Oversee the development of the company's design philosophies, strategies, and guidelines.

Lead a team of UI/UX designers, providing them with direction, feedback, and development opportunities.

Present and defend designs to external partners and key stakeholders.

Organize user testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.

Drive alignment on design principles and patterns across multiple projects.

Identify and analyze industry UI/UX trends and competitor sites.

Work with analytics to assess the impact of all UI/UX initiatives.

Any other reasonable activity required by management.

Required Skills:

Advanced knowledge of design software (Figma)and user testing methodologies.

Ability to manage a design team

Examples of mentoring less-experienced designers well

Understanding of Angular and React platforms with regards to design practices.

Enthusiasm for design work in a software-as-a-service company.

Driven by client satisfaction.

Strong teamwork skills.

Ability to manage own time and deliver expected results on time.

Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering or a related field.

10+ years of enterprise UI/UX design experience.

Multiple years of experience in product leadership roles in accounting, insurance, financial services, financial technology, or data-reporting products.
