Job Summary:
The UI/UX Designer creates excellent end-user interactions and overall experience for those users navigating our data-dense web-based applications and websites. The UI/UX Designer seeks to improve the user experience by suggesting interactions that are simple, useful, scalable, accessible, and visually compelling. They collaborate with teams and individuals across a wide variety of departments as needed: Development Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit extensive knowledge of user needs in Clearwater’s industry.
- Shape the future of our products’ user interfaces and customer experience.
- Oversee the development of the company's design philosophies, strategies, and guidelines.
- Lead a team of UI/UX designers, providing them with direction, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Present and defend designs to external partners and key stakeholders.
- Organize user testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
- Drive alignment on design principles and patterns across multiple projects.
- Identify and analyze industry UI/UX trends and competitor sites.
- Work with analytics to assess the impact of all UI/UX initiatives.
- Any other reasonable activity required by management.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of design software (Figma)and user testing methodologies.
- Ability to manage a design team
- Examples of mentoring less-experienced designers well
- Understanding of Angular and React platforms with regards to design practices.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of enterprise UI/UX design experience.
- Multiple years of experience in product leadership roles in accounting, insurance, financial services, financial technology, or data-reporting products.
