Job Description

This role involves managing multiple global vendors supporting Google's ML/AI initiatives. Responsibilities include tracking vendor performance against key metrics (on-time delivery, quality, cost), addressing performance issues, leading business reviews, and executing vendor governance plans. The role requires establishing collaborative relationships with vendors, partnering with cross-functional teams for process improvements using AI and other technologies, and identifying/managing strategic projects to solve business issues. The ideal candidate is independent, solution-oriented, and able to deliver results, ensuring consistent operating practices for scalability and repeatability.

Must have:

7+ years analytics/project management experience
Vendor management & 3rd party partner experience
Experience in operations, strategy, planning, and program management
Ability to influence executive stakeholders and resolve conflicts
Track vendor performance & implement corrective actions
Lead regular business reviews and execute vendor governance plans

Good to have:

Experience in GenAI, LLMs, and Supervised Machine Learning
Process improvement and re-engineering using AI/other technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience using analytics or applying project management tools to address business issues.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in GenAI, Large Language Models (LLM’s), and Supervised Machine Learning or interest in building domain expertise
Experience managing vendors/3rd party partners in an operations/delivery role
Experience in operations, strategy, planning, and program management
Ability to influence executive-level cross-functional stakeholders and resolve conflicts.

In this role, you will manage multiple vendors across the globe that support Google’s ML/AI initiatives. You will use your vendor management skills and thought process to recommend solutions that will help improve evolving workflows and prepare them for scaling. We are looking for independent, solution-oriented candidates who know how to deliver results. You will also manage a portfolio of vendors that contribute to the long-term operational strategy and support model, extended workforce decisions, and operational excellence of business processes through continuous improvements. You will also help deliver consistent and standard operating practices across all workflows to allow for scaling and repeatability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$187,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Track vendor performance against key metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost. Address performance issues and collaborate with vendors to implement corrective actions.
Lead regular business reviews and execute vendor governance plan in the form of weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews.
Establish collaborative relationships with vendors to ensure communication and problem resolution.
Partner with cross functional teams locally and globally to deliver process improvements. Use AI and other technologies for process improvement and re-engineering. Review vendor data, identify process improvement opportunities and drive improvement of vendor performance.
Identify and program manage strategic projects to solve business issues by working with stakeholders, managing communications, and overseeing milestones and timelines.
