Job Description

This Account Strategist role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on driving growth for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the Alpine region (Switzerland). Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly business goals, building client relationships through phone calls and email marketing, conducting sales consultations, owning a portfolio of SMB accounts, and developing quarterly growth plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online advertising, Google Ads, and excellent communication skills in both German and English. They'll need to be comfortable with consultative selling, objection handling, and building compelling narratives to engage clients and achieve marketing objectives.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strategic client assessment and success achievement
  • Google Ads and online advertising familiarity
  • Consistent quota overachievement
  • Compelling narrative building and storytelling
Good to have:
  • Experience in Swiss advertising/media business
  • Ability to influence internal/external stakeholders

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media business context in Switzerland, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving marketing objectives.
