Elsewhere Entertainment seeks an Associate Character Scan Technician to contribute to a new IP. Collaborating with art leads and directors, you'll build a library of scanned character garment and prop assets using photogrammetry and scanning techniques. Responsibilities include sourcing assets, utilizing industry-standard equipment and software, ensuring quality standards, working with the production team on project planning and tracking, staying updated on industry trends, and participating in testing and feedback processes. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for photogrammetry, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs and deadlines.

Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for an Associate Character Scan Technician to join the development of a new IP.   
 
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! 


As a member of our Art department,  you will be an integral part of our mission to bring immersive and captivating characters to life in our video game worlds. Collaborating closely with the art leads and directors, you will be responsible for sourcing and preparing an extensive library of character garment and prop assets through the use of scanning and photogrammetry. If you have a technical aptitude, passion costume design and interest in 3D character art, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful impact on our cutting-edge game projects.


As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.  

You’ll help us by… 

  • Collaborate closely with art leads and directors to ensure scanned assets meet quality standards set for the project.

  • Work as part of the Photogrammetry Team to build and organize a library of scanned assets for the project.

  • Responsible for sourcing garments, props, weapons, etc. to be captured.

  • Work closely with production team to plan and track tasks according to project needs and scope.

  • Utilize industry-standard photogrammetry and scanning equipment and software to capture the highest quality data possible.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance our capturing process and facility.

  • Participate in testing and feedback processes to identify and address issues, bugs, and improvements.

  • Experience constructing photogrammetry rigs.
