About the opportunity :
As a Business Analyst - Content, you will play a critical role in analysing and interpreting complex data sets to help us understand user behaviour,improve content recommendations, optimize user experience, and drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including product, engineering, content,and marketing, to ensure our day-to-day work is strongly data-informed.
Key responsibilities:
Track and analyse content performance across regional cultures.
Analyse metrics like watch time, completion rates, and engagement for content in different cultures
Compare performance across cultures to identify successful content patterns
Create content performance dashboards and reports
Build automated dashboards showing key content metrics
Generate regular reports on content performance for stakeholders and content team
Analyse viewer preferences and behaviour by cultures and regions
Study how different regions consume content.
Understand peak viewing times, preferred devices, and viewing patterns by cultures
Support content acquisition with performance insights and forecasts
Help acquisition team make data-driven decisions on content purchases
Predict potential performance of new content based on historical data
Generate ROI analysis for content investments
Calculate return on investment for different types of content
Compare ROI across cultures and genres
Optimize content scheduling based on viewing patterns
Recommend best release times for new content
Optimize content placement on platform based on viewing data
Create content performance forecasting models
Build models to predict content success
Develop viewership forecasts for new content releases
Our ideal candidate:
Must have:
● 1-4 years of product analytics experience in a B2C context
● Proficiency with SQL, Excel, product analytics (Mix panel, Amplitude or similar) and Business Intelligence (Tableau or similar) tools
● Strong problem-solving skills and an insatiable curiosity to get behind the ‘why’of every problem statement
● Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
Should have:
● Ability to judge what metrics to measure for different problem statements
● Ability to design and run experiments independently
● Ability to write great analysis documents/notes to succinctly communicate your findings to a broad audience
● Experience designing event tracking schemas
Nice to have:
● Experience in the OTT/entertainment industry
