Senior QA Automation Engineer will be responsible to assure the quality of our products, to create automated tests and to manage builds and continuous integrations. You will automate tests for microservices and their related front ends. You will also manage servers in development and production on Cloud services.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify suitable test automation strategies.
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to QA team members on test automation best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough analysis of test requirements and provide accurate estimates for test automation efforts.
- Implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to ensure the seamless execution of automated tests.
- Identify and prioritize test cases for automation, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects and anomalies.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose test automation failures, driving root cause analysis and resolution.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the QA team.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in test automation tools, techniques, and best practices.
What’s Required
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in automated web application testing using extensively working in developing and executing tests using Selenium WebDriver in Python, Java.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of test automation frameworks using Page Object Model for end-to-end testing
Qualifications, Strengths and Skills:
- Scripting experience (other than Python): unix, ruby or similar tool
- Experience in testing Web Services and REST API (postman/swagger) Have knowledge on Continuous Integration using Jenkins and Maven Experience w/ SQL
- Experience in GitHub
- Experience recommending process improvements
Nice to Have
- Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes
- Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA cloud API (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Docker or Kubernetes, microservices, container deployment and service orchestration
- Familiar with DevOps testing strategies, automation tools, test management and results analysis. Experience using and/or developing on a Unix/Linux platform
