The Channel and Customer Marketing Team Lead will develop new commercial opportunities within the mass market channel. Key responsibilities include developing strategies with OC brands, creating commercial guidelines, executing the Trade Marketing Plan, improving brand results through in-store planning, managing a team of 3, managing the Trade Marketing budget, developing client plans, leading channel-specific marketing strategies, monitoring competition, and stakeholder management. The role requires strong analytical skills, communication skills, negotiation skills, and a detail-oriented approach. The candidate should be able to present business benefits with good financial acumen. The role requires experience in mass market channel and trade marketing roles.
Must have:
  • 7+ years in Mass Market channel and trade marketing
  • Experience with retailers and wholesalers/distributors
  • Experience in core business drivers
  • Experience in Consumers Path of purchase dynamics
  • Strong analytical skills with numerical data

About the role

We are looking for a Channel and Customer Marketing Team Lead Mass Market who can develop new commercial opportunities within this channel.  

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and sustaining long term strategies with OC brands in Mass Market customers
  • Creating commercial guidelines for Oral Care brands (price, promotion, pop materials)
  • Developing and executing the Trade Marketing Plan in line with Sales and Marketing objectives
  • Improving brand results through excellence in in-store planning, execution and tracking in alignment with the annual marketing priorities
  • Managing e developing a Team of 3 persons
  • Managing the Trade Marketing budget
  • Responsible for client plans development in collaboration with sales managers
  • Leading and implementing channel-specific marketing strategies and plans for assigned clients/retailers
  • Meeting clients to set the Trade Marketing Plan and monitoring performances
  • Conceptualizing and executing trade promotions and rolling out impactful in-store execution in collaboration with marketing and sales teams
  • Monitoring competition and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Overseeing and monitoring performance of brand recognition metrics (ex. MS Value, Folder share, promotional activity ROI)
  • Stakeholder management across different functions (marketing, sales, supply chain, customer service)

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • 7 or +7 years’ experience in Mass Market channel and in trade marketing roles

  • Experience in working with retailers and wholesalers/distributors 

  • Experience in working on core business drivers (assortment, stock, layout, pricing, promotion)

  • Experience in Consumers Path of purchase dynamics

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable dealing with numerical data

  • Easily engaging with the customers, peers and building trustful relationship

  • Effective communication skills (developed listening skills/ ability to explain, train and coach)

  • Negotiation skills

  • Category Management guidelines knowledge

  • Good financial acumen allowing to present business benefits

  • Details orientation

  • Understand qualitative research technics and methods

  • Good storyteller who can show the vision and benefits

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Ability to work with the data

  • Well organized and disciplined

  • Proactive in problem solving

  • Team management

Preferred

  • Talent who has 7 or +7 years of experience working with the Mass Market channel in Trade Marketing roles with also Sales experience

  • Person who enjoys interacting with the customers and learning from interactions with different people
