Job Description

This internship within Tesla's civil and traffic infrastructure team at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg focuses on contributing to the design and construction of exterior areas. Responsibilities include assisting in the production of design drawings, bill of quantities, technical specifications, design reports, and calculations for road/traffic surface networks. The intern will also contribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, while effectively communicating project updates to stakeholders. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong communication skills.

Must have:

Civil Engineering degree (focus on traffic surfaces)
AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
Excellent communication skills
German/English proficiency (C1)
Interest in sustainable energy

Good to have:

Familiarity with EPC process and German HOAI
Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities

As part of the civil and traffic infrastructure team, you will contribute to shaping the exterior areas for the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg and help accelerating the construction process.

What You’ll Do

Assist in the production of design drawings, bill of quantities, technical specifications, design reports and calculations on design of our road/traffic surfaces networks (i.e. grading, layout and design geometric, paving etc.)
Contributing to the planning of project work scopes, schedules, budget, and resource requirements
Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to different stakeholders within the company

What You’ll Bring

Student due to graduate within one year or recently graduated from a degree in Civil Engineering with a required focus on traffic surfaces design / road design
Beginner experiences in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil site design
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and change focus quickly in a fast-paced environment
German and/or English proficiency on a C1 level according to CEFR
Proven interest in Tesla's mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, through extracurricular activities, academic projects, passion projects, or equivalent experiences
Motivated, active collaborator
Good to have: Familiarity with the EPC process and the German HOAI phases of a construction project
