Summary

As a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer at Google Cloud Consulting, you'll provide technical guidance to customers adopting GCP services. Responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations. You'll act as a technical advisor, troubleshooting issues and creating best practice recommendations. You will work with clients to ensure secure foundational cloud implementations, automated infrastructure provisioning, and cloud-ready application architectures. Collaboration with product management and engineering to improve GCP products and features is also expected. Up to 30% travel may be required for meetings and onsite delivery.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience
4+ years experience with client-side web technologies & coding
4+ years experience in designing and implementing technical solutions
Experience designing and automating infrastructure components
Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure

Good to have:

GCP Certifications
Experience managing client-facing projects
Experience with GCP products
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (GKE)
Familiarity with IT security practices

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP) and coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
4 years of experience in designing and implementing technical solutions.
Experience in designing and automating infrastructure components (e.g., compute, networking, storage and cloud native technologies) for scalability, high availability and performance.

Preferred qualifications:

Certifications in Google Cloud Platform.
Experience managing customer/client-facing consulting projects to completion and handling technical delivery.
Experience with implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products.
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.

Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for customers.
Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
Travel up to 30% of the time in the region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities as needed.
