POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a creative video wizard who lives and breathes PC gaming? We're looking for a versatile content creator who can shoot, edit, and livestream like a pro, all while bringing fresh creative ideas to the table. In this hybrid role, we're seeking someone who can take on a unique and exciting blend of a creative and technical role. If you can craft an epic gameplay montage in Premiere one day and troubleshoot a multi-cam Twitch stream the next, you might be the hero we're looking for!
In this role, you'll balance hands-on content creation with some planning and strategy. One day you might be storyboarding a video for a client – a PC hardware gian, and the next day setting up lights and cameras for a live-streamed event. You'll collaborate closely with our in-house team of gamers and creatives, and occasionally interface with external clients to nail their vision. And because our focus is on PC gaming, you'll be our go-to person for content that speaks to the PC gaming community and showcases the tech (we hope you know your RTX from your GTX, and why our client is a big deal in gaming!).
JOB DUTIES
Plan & Storyboard: Turn creative briefs and ideas into storyboards, shot lists, and production plans. You’ll work from both internal team ideas and external client briefs (for example, campaigns featuring our client’s latest gaming tech) to shape awesome video content.
Video Shooting: Film high-quality video content in studio and on location. Handle camera operation, lighting setups, and audio capture to make sure every shot is on point.
Video Editing: Edit footage into engaging videos for various platforms (YouTube, Twitch, social media). You'll use tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and even CapCut for social-friendly edits. From cinematic trailers to quick highlight reels, you can do it all and add some magic through effects, music, and sound design.
Livestream Production: Be the behind-the-scenes hero for live streams. Set up and operate livestream equipment, including multi-camera switching (vMix/OBS or similar), lighting adjustments on the fly, and monitoring stream quality. When we're live, you're calm under pressure and ready to tackle any tech glitches in real-time.
Studio & Tech Setup: Take charge of our small studio space. Set up and break down gear for shoots (lights, green screens, microphones, etc.), manage video files and backups, and ensure our equipment (cameras, PCs, capture cards) is maintained and ready.
Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with game developers, designers, and marketers on our team to brainstorm content ideas and ensure the final videos meet our goals. Also, communicate with clients when needed to align on feedback and ensure their brand vision (especially when showcasing our client’s tech hardware) is realized.
Stay Gaming-Savvy: Keep a finger on the pulse of gaming culture – especially PC gaming. Whether it's the latest esports trends, a new game launch, or a buzzworthy PC hardware release, you stay informed. You'll bring ideas to the table that resonate with gamers and know how to authentically integrate a brand into cool content.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in video content creation, filmmaking, or digital media production. You've been around the block creating video content (from shooting through post-production) and maybe even streaming.
Editing Mastery: Strong proficiency in video editing software – Adobe Premiere Pro (primary), Final Cut Pro, and familiarity with quick-edit tools like CapCut. You know your way around color correction, audio mixing, and optimizing content for different platforms (from widescreen YouTube videos to vertical TikToks).
Filming & Production Skills: Hands-on experience with cameras (DSLR/mirrorless or professional camcorders) and lighting equipment for video. You understand composition, frame rates, and how to get the best shot. Bonus points if you have photography skills as well.
Livestream Know-How: Experience with live video production and streaming. You've used software or hardware like OBS, vMix, or ATEM switchers to run live streams. You can troubleshoot common streaming issues (connectivity, dropped frames, audio sync) on the fly.
Creative Vision: Ability to storyboard, script, or outline video content. You can take a concept and flesh out the scenes needed to tell the story, aligning with a brand's message. Basically, you can think like a director when needed, not just an editor.
Gaming & Tech Savvy: Solid knowledge of gaming culture, especially PC gaming. You know the difference between a noob and a pro, and you can speak GPU, CPU, FPS, and RGB. Familiarity with PC hardware is a must – ideally you're the kind of person who can name the latest Intel processor and talk about why it’s great for gaming.
