Audio Visual Technician (m/f/d)
YOUR CHALLENGE
As a Audio Visual Technician / AV Technician (m/f/d) you are in a multifaceted role that involves video production, post-production, studio work, and live directing for our streamed events at coliquio.
You have the flexibility of hybrid working combination: from home office in Germany and at our locations in Munich. For this role, it will be required to come into the office several days a week and you need to be able accommodate flexible work hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various projects, including but not limited to interviews, documentaries, and event coverage.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for live streaming, including technical and software setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Live directing: Use broadcast mixers, media key/fill software and streaming platforms to direct our live events.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute projects efficiently. Collaborate with all departments to ensure that video content meets coliquio’s specific needs and objectives.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and organise video production equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and readily available for use.
- Quality Control: Ensure that video and audio content meet coliquio’s standards, including framing, lighting, sound levels, and editing techniques.
- Documentation: Use in-house project management tools to keep track of all media production projects. Document any technical issues encountered and their resolutions for future reference.
- Guidance: Provide technical guidance to staff members
- Working hours: can vary depending on projects you will be working on. Live productions tend to be in the evening, congress coverages can include weekends and offsite client productions may require travel etc.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Educational Background: A degree or diploma in media production, broadcasting, graphic design, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience or training may also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting techniques, video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, microphones and broadcast mixers (familiarity with Roland VR-120HD, Blackmagic - ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is a plus)
- Editing Skills: Proficiency with Apple Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion is desired. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is a plus.
- Creativity: Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in German (C1) and English (B2), with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and senior stakeholders. Must be able to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as needed to enhance job performance.
