Project description

We are looking for a Spanish-speaking Database Architect to join us for a project in the fashion retailing industry.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain and review database models of applications.

Work closely with software developers to ensure that the database design supports application requirements and performance goals.

Create data models that represent the structure and relationships of data within the database.

Design logical and physical data models that optimize data storage and retrieval

Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

Work on improving query performance by analyzing execution plans and making necessary adjustments in queries or data models.

Skills

Must have

7+ years of hands-on experience working with database technologies.

Experience working with our database technologies: IBM DB2, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB.

Strong database architecture, engineering, and design skills.

Software architecture and design.

Excellent knowledge of the SQL language with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

Understand various relational and non-relational database technologies along with their benefits, downsides, and best use-case.

Willingness and commitment to learn other database technologies.

Experience in Agile development methodology & Agile development tools.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to perform system monitoring and address various issues in the system.

Ability to do performance tuning and database development.

Great communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

Passionate about technology and delivering solutions in integrated data environments.
