As a Creative Director for Angry Birds Dream Blast, you will play a pivotal role in leading the creative vision of the game. You will be responsible for guiding the overall creative direction and acting as a valuable partner to the Game Lead and other members of the leadership team. You will have a holistic, long-term vision of the player experience, ensuring that our creative work—including design, art, UX, marketing, and other player-facing areas—centers on delivering an engaging and enjoyable experience.

You will have impact and fun at work by doing:

    • Work in tight collaboration with Game Lead in all areas of game vision, strategy and roadmap in order to share common goals and language to drive a unified vision. 
    • Own the game’s long-term creative vision, strategy and execution. This includes, e.g., concept, gameplay, UX, narrative, art and other functionalities.
    • Communicate the objectives, vision and strategy to the creative teams. You offer transparency on the progress and development of the game and other crafts across the production to ensure clarity, visibility and alignment between different stakeholders.
    • Lead, inspire and mentor all the creative members and crafts of the game team to ensure smart innovation, design excellence, overall alignment as well as meeting player and business needs.
    • Challenge the way of thinking and facilitate new practices and terminology within the team.
    • Are an expert in all aspects related to the game design as well as in creative problem solving and decision making in the game team. 
    • You oversee the necessary adjustments to ensure the team delivers what is expected in a way that will guard team health and player experience.
    • Analyze creative workload versus production capacity, and work with the senior production team to establish a work schedule and priorities for the creative team that is in keeping with the project goals and timeline
    • Support PM and Analytics and work on A/B tests related to game features, events, etc. to enable further growth
    • Work closely with PM, UA and PMM to ensure that the promise of creative strategy is reaching a wide audience, effective and aligned with what the game delivers for the players. 
    • Work closely with Game Lead to guide priorities and goals to ensure the development process reaches the needs of each development phase
    • Support each other with defining a shared common goal and language to drive a unified vision
    • Follow actively markets and competition in order to quickly identify opportunities as well as to ensure the competitiveness, differentiation, and longevity of the game.
    • Collaborate with Studio’s game leads, craft leads and lead designers to ensure that information and knowledge is shared across the teams. 

Experience and skills we are looking for:

    • Proven experience and success designing casual mobile F2P puzzle games in a Design Leadership role.
    • In-depth working knowledge and skills in various aspects of Match-3 casual mobile game design.
    • Experience working on all the aspects of game design, e.g., systems, economy, narrative, levels, UX, and social. 
    • Experience in owning the game’s creative vision and strategy and leading its execution from a concept phase to the global launch.
    • Experience in operating Live games and collaborating with various stakeholders (e.g. PM, PPM, analytics, development).
    • Experience in deep and structured market and competitive analysis.
    • Experience in understanding how design can support business success.
    • Expert in connecting player and business needs. E.g., understanding player motivations, engagement, retention, social aspects and monetization.
    • Solid skills to ideate, concept, prototype and validate a game and its features.
    • Understanding of game design principles, e.g., monetization, game balancing, economy, progression systems and LiveOps.
    • Large experience creating competitor and market insights in order to see, e.g., opportunities, trends or weak signals.
    • Experience creating, communicating and showcasing new concepts and ideas.
    • Ability to use a data-driven approach to find challenges/opportunities or to validate hypotheses.
