Job Description

As a Senior Staff Digital IC Design Engineer at Marvell, you'll be responsible for the design, verification, and evaluation of digital circuits in high-speed data communication ICs. This involves writing implementation specs from system requirements, RTL design, verification, synthesis, and static timing analysis. You'll enhance design methodology and workflow, design RTL for SerDes IPs (10Gbps to 224Gbps), and collaborate with various engineering teams. Pre- and post-silicon support for product teams is also required. The role demands proficiency in digital logic design, Verilog/VHDL, and timing analysis tools like Synopsys or Cadence. Experience with MAC and PHY integration, silicon validation, and DFT concepts is essential.

Central Engineering AMS-IP team provides leading-edge SerDes PHY solutions and other Analog Mixed-Signal IPs to support all Marvell products.

What You Can Expect

  • As ASIC design engineer you will be responsible for the design, verification, and evaluation of digital circuits in high-speed data communication ICs.
  • You will be involved in engineering implementation spec writing from system requirements, RTL design, verification, synthesis, static timing analysis.
  • Enhance design methodology and workflow for greater efficiency.
  • Design RTL for various SerDes IPs with data rates from 10Gbps to 224Gbps for diverse applications.
  • Collaborate with Analog, DSP, Digital Verification, Firmware, and Application Engineering teams to deliver competitive SerDes IP solutions across all product lines.
  • Provide support to product teams, both pre-silicon and post-silicon.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s/PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in fundamental concepts of digital logic design
  • Knowledgeable in digital logic timing analysis
  • Skilled in Verilog/VHDL coding and Lint tools
  • Experience with MAC and PHY integration
  • Experience with silicon validation processes
  • Micro-controller 8051 or ARM Cortex experience
  • Micro-controller firmware experience
  • Skilled in synthesis using Synopsys or Cadence tools
  • Proficient in timing analysis using Primetime
  • Understanding of Design-for-Test (DFT) concepts, including Scan and BIST
  • Strong communication skills and effective team collaboration abilities
  • Motivated and committed to contributing to a highly skilled design team
