Job Description

The EMC System Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of Space Systems. This involves analyzing EMC requirements at the system level, deriving lower-level requirements, and defining EMC activities to ensure project compliance. The engineer will analyze designs, track and evaluate testing campaigns, and use SW EMC tools for analysis. They will also attend technical meetings with partners and international clients. This role emphasizes experience in the EMC field, both in design and testing, with knowledge of EMC MIL/ECSS regulations preferred.

Must have:

Analyze EMC requirements and derive lower-level requirements.
Define and track EMC activities to ensure project compliance.
Analyze the adequacy of designs in relation to the EMC environment.
Define, track, and evaluate testing campaigns at unit and system levels.
Use SW EMC tools for 2D and 3D EMC / RF analysis
Excellent written and oral English skills.

Good to have:

Knowledge of EMC MIL / ECSS regulations
Knowledge of the French language

We are looking for an EMC System Engineer, as the person responsible for ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of Space Systems, He/She will be responsible for:

Analyze the applicable EMC requirements at the system level, deriving the lower level requirements (unit and sub-system)
Define the EMC activities to be applied to the project to ensure compliance of the project with the applicable requirements
Analyze and evaluate the adequacy of the proposed design, with respect to the project's EMC environment, both at unit and system level.
Define, track and evaluate the results of unit and system level testing campaigns.
Following a "bottom-up" philosophy, which involves starting from the results of tests and analysis at the unit level, analyzing, by means of specific SW EMC (eg CST, FEKO, etc), the compliance of a spatial system with applicable EMC requirements.
Attend technical meetings with partner companies and international clients.

Experience in the EMC field, both at the design and testing level (knowledge of EMC MIL / ECSS regulations will be considered preferential).

Skills and knowledge:

Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of Matlab / Simulink, Mathcad, CST and / or FEKO, or similar tools for 2D and 3D EMC / RF analysis
Scientific training (Mandatory)
Good ability to learn new calculation tools (Required)
Excellent written and oral English
Knowledge of the French language will be considered preferential

Wide willingness to travel, including medium / long-term trips in Italy and abroad (Mandatory).
