Job Description

The ESD Engineer will be responsible for defining and implementing ESD methodologies for all silicon developed by the company. This includes specifying chip and IP level ESD requirements, designing ESD protection devices and circuits, and developing test structures for characterizing silicon. The role involves close collaboration with foundries on ESD library and rule development, maintaining an ESD device library, and generating or reviewing ESD/LUP testing plans. The engineer will also manage sign-off reviews and drive ESD/LUP related debug activities. This position requires a strong understanding of ESD principles and experience in semiconductor design.
Must have:
  • Define ESD methodology for silicon development.
  • Design ESD protection devices and circuits.
  • Develop test structures for ESD/LUP characterization.
  • Collaborate with foundries on ESD library development.
  • Maintain an ESD device library.

Job Details

Responsibilities include: -Define the ESD methodology for all silicon developed by Apple and to specify the chip and IP level ESD requirements -Design ESD protection devices and circuits to meet design requirements -Develop test structures to characterize Si for ESD/LUP properties -Develop design rules based on Si characterization data -Collaborate with foundry on ESD library and ESD/LUP rule development activities -Maintain an ESD device library to support internal and external design teams -Generate or review ESD/LUP testing plans for Apple and vendor ICs -Manage the sign-off reviews with internal design teams, external vendors and foundries -Drive ESD/LUP related debug activities
