Description

Scopely is looking for a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, a globally acclaimed free-to-play mobile game. The position can be based in India (preferably Bangalore), one of Scopely’s EU corporate offices (Spain, Portugal, UK, Ireland), or Tel Aviv, Israel. Reporting to the SVP of the MAX Division Portfolio, the General Manager will collaborate closely with global teams to shape the next chapter of the game’s success.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Looney Tunes World of Mayhem is a successful mid-core free-to-play game that combines mid-core gameplay with the timeless charm of the evergreen, globally appealing Looney Tunes brand.

What You Will Do
  • Successfully complete the transition of the game’s operations and development from external developer, while capitalizing on the game’s large organic downloads to grow the business.
  • Lead the team and product development to establish Looney Tunes World of Mayhem as the "trojan horse of RPGs," blending accessible gameplay with deep strategic elements. This will involve re-imagining the game’s onboarding, and slate of events and minigames.
 Key Responsibilities:
  • P&L Ownership:
    • Take full accountability for the game’s performance, including strategic decisions on product direction, staffing, resource allocation, and overall profitability.
  • Strategic Vision & Execution:
    • Define and drive the long-term strategy for Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, from core features to live operations, ensuring the game meets KPI targets, stays on budget, and aligns with business goals.
    • Lead the successful transition of the game to an internal development team, ensuring continuity and quality during the handover.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Build and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Player Focus:
    • See the game through the eyes of the player, ensuring the team delivers an engaging, high-quality experience that resonates with the audience.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Remove roadblocks and provide solutions to logistical challenges, team alignment issues, or shifts in game requirements driven by live data or strategic priorities.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with experience in mid-core free-to-play games, a proven ability to drive technological innovation, and a hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Product Expertise:
    • 10+ years of experience managing significant P&Ls and leading teams in the mid-core free-to-play gaming space.
    • Proven track record of overseeing and launching successful F2P games.
  • Leadership:
    • Ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams in a distributed environment.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a balance of confidence and a willingness to listen and partner.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset:
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable in dynamic environments.
    • A builder and innovator who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the work necessary to drive success.
  • Transformational Leadership and Strategic Drive:
    • Demonstrates a relentless drive and passion to take on challenging situations, with the vision and determination to elevate a struggling enterprise into a thriving success.
