The Lead Dialogue Editor at Sound Lab will be responsible for editing and mastering dialogue for gaming projects, leading a team of dialogue editors, and ensuring high-quality audio deliverables. Responsibilities include briefing editors, tracking deadlines, providing technical and creative guidance, staying current with new technologies, understanding recording processes and acoustics, and communicating effectively with clients and team members. They will also standardize workflows, train new crew members, interface with asset teams, and improve the dialogue pipeline. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Pro Tools, iZotope RX, and other audio editing software, a strong understanding of game post-production workflows, and excellent communication and time management skills. Minimum 2 years of experience is required.

Sound Lab a Keywords Studio is looking for a Lead Dialogue Editor for our gaming projects. They will work as part of the creative team responsible for crafting interactive audio experiences collaborating closely with both internal and external audio team members.
The day-to-day responsibilities involve:
Edit and master dialogue
Create deliverables according to client specs
Lead our dialogue team by briefing our editors on new projects, keeping track of upcoming deadlines and providing guidance regarding both technical and creative approaches to editorial
Stay on the cutting edge of new plug-in tech to make sure we stay competitive by having the highest quality output
Understand the recording process, acoustics, different types of microphones and be able to read session scripts
Understand the creative and technical needs of our clients
Speak intelligently and confidently with clients and be able to propose novel solutions and helpful ideas in the moment
Standardize crew workflows, plug-in chains, etc. to ensure consistency across different editors
Assist in building the dialogue team by vetting and training new dialogue crew members
Interface with our assets team to make sure deliveries are made on time
Adjust and improve general dialogue pipeline and efficiency
QC assets from other team members
Work with team members to develop/refine editorial processes when necessary
Collaborate with external crew to fix issues as they arise
Interface with producers and management to help with editorial-specific topics
Requirements
Proficiency in Pro Tools
Willingness to use other DAWs and software at the client’s request
Proficiency using equalizers, de-essers, compressors, etc. in relation to dialogue
Proficiency in iZotope RX, and other de-noise and de-verb suites
Ability to work and communicate well with other creatives, clients, producers and management
Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft Office
Possess in depth knowledge of the game post-production workflows, pipelines and delivery requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience (please provide credits)
Very detail oriented, organized, and able to work quickly and efficiently with large amounts of assets
Excellent with time management
Ability to work remotely with your own home setup if choosing to work remote- must have ProTools, iZotope RX, Microsoft Office, studio monitors/headphones, etc
