We are Spliced Inc. and we’re looking for a Principal Environment Artist. 

The Role:

As a Principal Artist at Spliced Inc, you’ll be helping establish the Environment Art quality for key areas of the game and be at home working on a stylized AAA title. 

. Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Art department, you will be responsible for helping establish benchmark environment assets, authoring pipelines and best practices for the team whilst working closely with the Lead Artist, Design team and the Art Director. Additionally:   

  • Collaborate with the Art Director and other departments to understand and implement the artistic vision and style of the game.
  • Establish Art benchmarks for the Art team across different areas of the Environment Art pipeline.
  • Establish key assets for level production such as modular kits, trim sheets, props.
  • Define working practices and ensure authored content is adhering to any defined structures and standards.
  • Effectively communicate with other art disciplines, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of assets into the project.
  • Provide mentoring to support more junior members of the team

About You:

  • Demonstrable experience working on a AAA title.
  • Expert knowledge of industry-standard software such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance Designer or Painter.
  • Experience creating visually compelling assets and environments.
  • Can work autonomously on tasks and can be proactive in communicating with other disciplines.
  • Experience working through the full level pipeline taking a Design greybox through to a shippable level.
