The Senior Technology Procurement Analyst is a key member of the procurement team and has 3 primary areas of responsibility for WMTO: (1) technology hardware, software and services procurement, (2) procurement data standards and maintenance and (3) supplier account management. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Technology Asset Procurement (70%) Source products from multiple resellers Seek alternate vendors and competitive pricing when advantageous Negotiate quotes for equipment and services when applicable Meet budgetary constraints by working with Tech Finance and BU to ensure purchase orders are coded to correct cost centers and accounts and that the Bill of Materials totals out at or below budget Complete purchase orders, monitoring all open purchase orders and providing order-tracking details as requested for technology related purchases, focusing on operating expense or workplace technology expense Ensure all purchase information is accurately and expeditiously captured within the procurement system. This person will ensure prompt communication on all purchases and effectively escalate issues with suppliers and/or supervisors when appropriate. For capital purchases, updating the Bill of Materials with the pertinent quote and order information Perform analysis of procurement spend for projects, departments or commodity codes as needed to support business operations Broadcast Equipment Consulting (10%) Generate and maintain key relationships with all customer’s departments to learn their needs and better understand what technologies are coming up Consult with customers to provide equipment expertise and recommendations as requested and/or needed Engage in project meetings to identify any technology needs Scan all technology procurement requests to ensure its completeness and will maintain a thorough and well-rounded knowledge of broadcast equipment features, functions, and specifications Supplier Account Management (10%) Maintain good relationships with key suppliers and ensure the procurement system is kept up-to-date with the key supplier information Ensure that any supplier issues will be escalated to the Tech Procurement Manager, in a timely manner Generate supplier scorecards monthly Analyze supplier performance to decisions about preferred suppliers and those selected for RFP and RFQ Process Improvement (10%) Seek, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement in procurement processes. This may involve collaborating with other procurement team members or end users to streamline activities for the benefit of the operation. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of technology procurement experience Must be customer service oriented Must be a team player and able to work in a team-centric environment Must be an excellent communicator, both orally and written Must be detail oriented Must be able to understand complex processes and is good at seeing how various items relate to each other at a macro-level Must be accurate and able to self-audit, be resourceful to find answers and make educated decisions, and be able to operate in an ambiguous fast-paced environment Team player and self-starter with interpersonal and solution-oriented attitude and an ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment Ability to Lead meetings/special projects and develop process improvements. Display ability to delegate or “manage up” Technical knowledge/skills in the following areas: Ariba or SAP experience SharePoint 2010 or higher Full understanding of Procure 2 Pay process MS Office Suite, including Visio process flows, PowerPo DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS Technology procurement experience An understanding of the WM Technology organization Knowledge of existing WMTO processes & tools EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience CITAM or other ITAM certifications (Preferred)
