Job Summary:

Senior Art Director

At Disney's Yellow Shoes, the in-house creative agency for Disney Experiences, we create compelling, impactful creative content for one of the most beloved brands on the planet every day. Are you ready to join this team and push the limits of entertainment marketing to create the never-before-seen?

We are looking for a craft-focused, innovative Senior Art Director with a relentless passion for uncovering “the big idea.” Someone with a passion for the mastery of photography, typography, layout, digital and social ideation. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in cultural trends and the latest & greatest advertising and media. They will understand the importance of collaboration between strategy, concept and design. And they have a proven track record of delivering award-winning creative campaigns with human insights at their core.

You will report to the Group Creative Director in Glendale, CA.

This is a full-time role.

Required for Consideration: Portfolio and CV (please submit with application and provide any necessary passwords).

You will:

  • Craft innovative content for all digital and social channels associated with the Disney Parks and Resorts group as well as mentoring junior creatives.

  • Show your problem-solving skills and creative thinking for a range of advertising mediums.

  • Ability to partner well Copywriters, Designers and Strategists to deliver compelling, 360 campaign concepts.

  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and act upon client feedback while keeping projects on schedule, and meeting deadlines.

  • Must deliver polished and well-designed creative elements for internal and external presentations.

  • Ability to give direction to photographers, designers, directors, editors, and other vendors as they relate to the creative output.

  • Ability to construct a cohesive creative presentation and have an overall comfort level with internal client presentations.

You will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ developing 360 advertising campaigns.

  • Outstanding presentation skills– confidence and passion when sharing ideas internally.

  • Proficiency in ideating in the digital and social space.

  • Time management skills are A MUST. Ability to balance multiple assignments, self-manage, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

  • Must be proficient in presentation software and have a working knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.

  • Strong eye for design, typography and photography with a type A-level attention to detail.

  • Knowledge and genuine curiosity about the Walt Disney Company's history including films, animation, television, and theme parks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in an agency setting, or related experience.

  • Experience in After Effects, 3D, and editing software a bonus.

  • Fluency in Spanish

Education:

  • An Associates (2-year) or Bachelor's (4-year) degree in Advertising, Art, Graphic Art, Design, or equivalent.

The hiring range for this position in California is $113,800.00 to $152,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
