Summary

Blink Health seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data engineering platforms. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker is a plus. The role involves managing ingestion platforms, creating custom components, and developing analytics applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, implement, and maintain highly scalable data engineering platforms
  • Build high-performance algorithms that help process massive amounts of data in modern data lakehouse platform
  • Integrate new data management technologies and data engineering tools into existing structures and pipelines
  • Have a constant mentality and proven way  to improve data pipeline reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Collaborate with data architects, service engineers, analysts, and IT team members to achieve project goals on time
  • Manage existing ingestion platforms and create custom data engineering components and analytics applications.

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of prior experience as a Data Engineer
  • Experience with popular AWS cloud services
  • Proven expertise in the use of data management technologies such as Airflow and Databricks
  • Strong command of SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, PowerBI)
  • Technical expertise in sophisticated data modeling which includes both batch streaming and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge of using Kubernetes, Docker, and other Devops tools is a strong plus
