Job Responsibilities :
This role focuses on audio technologies and is based in the THX Taipei office, supporting PC OEMs and ODMs in integrating THX’s advanced audio solutions into their laptops, desktops and motherboards. As the primary technical liaison, the FAE will master THX’s audio technologies, delivering expert support during pre-sale and post-sale stages.
Responsibilities include speaker tuning, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software audio issues, proposing audio performance optimizations, and collaborating with THX’s global teams to ensure seamless integration of audio technologies.
The successful candidate will work with moderate supervision, adheres to established protocols, shares technical insights, and exercises independent judgment to resolve issues and propose solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing guidance on THX audio technology integration, troubleshooting, and optimization, while representing THX during on-site engagements.
- Validate PC audio implementations by executing THX tuning and testing procedures, analyzing performance data, and sharing detailed feedback with customers.
- Facilitate technical communication, coordinating with THX’s global support and engineering teams to address and resolve technical challenges with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct engineering tasks, including audio hardware/software testing, issue diagnosis, data analysis, documentation, and creation of new audio testing protocols and demo setups.
- Drive pre-sales efforts through technical presentations, live demonstrations of THX audio solutions, and articulating the benefits of THX technologies to prospective partners.
- Contribute to auxiliary projects, such as prototype development, equipment calibration, product validation, and maintenance of audio testing facilities.
Qualifications
- Scripting tools such as Python for automation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of audio processing and codecs.
- Extensive hands-on experience with audio measurement tools and techniques, including signal analysis for metrics like distortion, noise, and frequency response with tools like Klippel, CLIO, Listen Inc. SoundCheck.
- Working knowledge of smart-amp configuration, DSP tuning, filter design, and end-to-end audio system integration
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex audio-related technical issues.
- Clear communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience with audio tuning or sound quality optimization is advantageous.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or Audio Engineering.
Over 5 years of experience in audio engineering, ideally with PC audio systems, including practical expertise in debugging audio hardware and software components.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements
Travel domestically to customer sites as required, with occasional international travel for global engagements.
